Mary-Dora BH, Founder, Instructor
A small town girl with big dreams. Born and raised in London ON, Mary-Dora moved to Toronto in 2009 to pursue her studies at Ryerson University where she received a BFA in Performance Dance. Since graduating, she has had the opportunity to perform both locally and abroad touring to Europe and South America. Off stage, MD works as a performing arts mentor & teacher at various schools throughout the Toronto District School Board. She is also a founding member of local dance company, Rock Bottom Movement. Aside from dance, MDBH also teaches other forms of body training including yoga and fitness. Having a passion for movement and living an active lifestyle, you can often find her in the studio, on her mat or zooming around the city on her bike. Mary-Dora's goals as artist and teacher are to inspire others around her to find personal motivation in living a happy and healthy lifestyle. Lauren P, Founder, Instructor
Lauren grew up in Edmonton Alberta where she was introduced to the arts at a young age. She initially studied science at the University of Alberta to pursue her goals of becoming a Veterinarian. Three years later she decided to move to Toronto to complete her BFA (honors) in Performance Dance at Ryerson University. Lauren has performed and trained internationally in Denmark, Berlin, New York and is now settling in Toronto pursuing music, dance and teaching fitness. During her science studies, Lauren became the U of A Dance Team Head Coach where she realized her passion for teaching. Her continued interest in health and fitness led her to complete her Can Fit Pro Fitness Instructor Specialist certification following her Ryerson graduation in 2012. In addition to her endeavours in dance and fitness, Lauren is a founding member of the a cappella vocal trio, The Willows where she performs, writes music and plays piano/guitar. Lauren is excited to bring a positive energy to the Mornin' Grind and is looking forward to bringing dance back into the daylight! .::Follow her moves @laurendah::..

Melinda Krynen-Hill, Guest Grind Leader
Melinda has a passion for health and well-being and has spent her career designing health promotion initiatives for the provincial
government. Melinda has a Masters in Public Health from the University of Alberta and is currently studying Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto. Melinda is also trained in Mindfulness Meditation, with a particular focus on applying mindfulness as a tool to manage chronic pain and complex conditions. She is a facilitator with the NeuroNova Centre where she delivers Mindfulness-Based Chronic Pain Management (MBCPM) courses across the GTA. She also consults at several medical
facilities customizing management for pain sufferers with complex needs and trains health care professionals in this approach. As a committed volunteer to the Toronto community, she offers her knowledge in mindfulness to the Law and Mental Health Unit at CAMH where she inspires mindfulness as an approach to improve coping for those with

Amara McPhail, Guest Grind Leader
An Edmonton Native, Amara grew up with a passion both for education and for dance. In 2006, she received the Alberta Foundation for the Arts Dance Grant to study at the Royal Winnipeg's Ballet School Professional Division. After graduating high school, she moved to London, England to attend the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance. After receiving her BA (hons) in Ballet and Contemporary dance, she freelanced with renowned artists and companies such as SurFace Dance, Wet Paint Theatre, Inkyung Lee, and Lauren Barri-Holstein. For a change of pace, she moved to Berlin, Germany where she further developed her skills as an artist and teacher. Soon after moving, she worked as an independent dance artist and as a dance teacher with Berlin Brandenburg International School. She then worked for Berlitz as an English Instructor at language camps for German children aged 7-17. Deciding teaching was her passion, she moved back to her hometown to study at the Faculty of Education in the University of Alberta. Amara can't wait to be a part of the Mornin' Grind team and get up and groovin' in the AM!
